Who should attend

Anyone who works with the assembly and dismantling of aluminium mobile access towers or low level access units on site or in a commercial environment.

Course aims

This PASMA course combines the Towers for Users training course with training on low level access units. PASMA training is the best known and most recognised qualification for the safe assembly and dismantling of aluminium scaffold towers. The course involves theory training in the classroom and also practical training in assembly and dismantling of access units.

Course Objectives:

Upon completion of the course the learners will know:

  • Employer’s and employee’s legal responsibilities
  • Importance of Pre-use inspection
  • Safe methods of erection & dismantling

Course Outline:

This course is the standard tower course approved by PASMA, who are the main international body governing scaffold towers. Topics covered include:

  • Employer’s and employee’s legal responsibilities
  • Tower components
  • Pre-use inspection
  • Safe methods of erection & dismantling
  • Variances in manufacture
  • Common hazards
  • Practical training

Certification: Learners will take a written test and complete a practical assessment. Successful learners will receive the PASMA training certificate and a photo ID card
