Who should attend

All persons required to work in confined spaces as part of their employment duties.

Course aims

The course aims to teach learners how to competently enter, work in and exit a variety of confined spaces, using escape breathing apparatus as part of a planned emergency procedure.

Course Objectives:

Upon completion of the course the learners will cover the following content:

  • Current legislation
  • Hazard identification
  • Equipment selection
  • Permits to work
  • Safe working procedures
  • Hygiene
  • Gas detection
  • Breathing apparatus
  • Accident and emergency procedures

Certification: Upon completion of the course the learners will be required to complete a short theory assignment. Course material and handouts will be supplied. upon successful completion learners will receive a certificate and photo ID card.

NB: Learners must supply their own Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for this course.
