
Course Objectives:
Learners will complete cover the following objectives:
- The LTMO role
- Health and safety at work
- The working environment and general requirements
- Sector scheme documents and reference documentation
- TSM Chapter 8
- Design, planning and calculations for TTM closures
- Installing and removing TTM closures
- Temporary speed limits
- Hard shoulder closures
- Total closures
- Accidents and incidents
Certification: On completion of the course all learners will be required to undertake a written examination which carries a 75% pass mark. Lantra Awards will make certification to successful learners. To operate a Foreman you MUST complete the operatives course, complete all assessments in the Logbook and attend the foreman course before a skills registration card can be issued by Lantra Awards.
NB: Learners who score 70-74% will be permitted to re-sit the paper not less than 2 weeks and no more than 8 weeks after the initial test date. Only one re-sit will be permitted. If a learner is again unsuccessful, they must re-sit the whole course before taking the test again. Learners scoring less than 70% must re-sit the whole course before re-sitting the end of course test. Refresher training All learners will be expected to refresh their training every 5 years in order to keep this qualification.*Price shown is event cost only. In order to confirm a booking a deposit of £50.00 is required, this can be paid online during the booking process or by phone during normal office hours (Mon-Fri 08:00am to 5:00pm). Any payments not received within 2 working days of making the booking the allocated place(s) will be cancelled.
